The Music and Mind of George GershwinColorado Public Radio
September 24, 2013
As Dr. Richard Kogan reveals, beneath the surface of George Gershwin's music is a complex personality.
Kogan, a graduate of the Julliard School of Music and Harvard Medical School, was recently in Denver to give his presentation called "Music and the Mind: George Gershwin."
While in town, the pianist/psychiatrist visited the CPR Performance Studio to sit down at our 9-foot Steinway and share his thoughts on how the emotional struggles of this American icon played into his music.
